Commonwealth Africa Network is a community, NGOs and voluntary organisation for Africans in the UK.
We promote awareness and provide support on issues of sexual abuses and exploitation in our community.
We are the voice of Africans in the UK and represent the sexually abused and exploited in our community.
We work in collaboration with the relevant agencies and authorities like the local authority, safeguarding board, social and children services, the police, schools and health institutions, and others community interest groups to provide the necessary safeguards needed to combat these crime in our community. We all know that we have to do much more to safeguard our children, young people, women and the vulnerable, who have suffered abuse, are suffering abuse or are in danger of being sexual abused in our community. We have to do much more to end these horrific exploitation and the impunity that allow these human violations to continue. We can all agree that the time for complacency is long gone, has passed and belongs to another era. The silence on sexual abuse against children, young people, women and the vulnerable has been broken and now is the time for stronger community cohesion. |
